The UK, Finland and New Zealand assert the best of parliamentary sovereignty, whereby the unelected judiciary might not overturn law passed by a democratic legislature. It is the internal ecclesiastical law governing the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Oriental Orthodox Churches, and the person nationwide churches within the Anglican Communion. The means that such church law is legislated, interpreted and at occasions adjudicated varies extensively among these three bodies of churches.
